On holiday we get the chance to sit out on a balcony or veranda looking at the stars and it's a really special time - so relaxed and laid back. This was the inspiration for the song". Written in the days and weeks after losing our precious Golden Retriever to cancer, this song is a tribute to her gentleness but also her zest for life and beautiful optimistic nature. I have also arranged the tune for the Sussex Jazz Orchestra and it has been performed by them many times. The original version by Hilary Burt's Blue Calluna is on the 2018 album, Step Off And Fly available on Spotify, Apple Music etc. Lucy Pickering and Alex Eberhard start off on flute and acoustic guitar, and then the rest of the band join in.
